All airports in the world, and most of the larger airstrips, are designated a three letter code by the International Air Transport Authority (IATA). The larger cities also have a specific code. For example, London (LON) is officially served by Heathrow (LHR), Gatwick (LGW), Stansted (STN), Luton (LTN) and London City (LCY) airports.

IATA also assigns a three letter code to major rail, ferry, bus, hovercraft, seaplane and heliport terminals. This utility includes all types of codes and, as with all information on the Travelhappy website, is subject to our disclaimer.
